Keynote: Healthcare Systems in the Age of Polycrisis

Oct 1, 202601:50 pm - 2:10 PM
Main Stage

Our healthcare systems are facing profound changes in population health while simultaneously having to confront and prepare for multiple crises, including pandemics, climate change, environmental challenges, and the growing threat of wars and geopolitical conflicts. At the same time, new technologies, innovative practices, and evolving models of care are fundamentally reshaping the way healthcare is delivered. Drawing on this dual transformation—of both healthcare needs and healthcare delivery—Laurent Chambaud proposes practical pathways for a profound, coordinated transformation of our healthcare systems. Rather than continually responding to recurring tensions and crises that weaken one of the cornerstones of social solidarity, he advocates for a proactive approach that builds more resilient, sustainable, and future-ready health systems.
