Since 2023, the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg has been developing clinical debriefing to give healthcare teams a voice. The aim is to support their well-being while strengthening the quality and safety of care. Facilitated by a trained professional with no hierarchical relationship to the participants, these discussions take place in a supportive and confidential environment. They provide an opportunity to share emotions, highlight successes and jointly identify areas for improvement.
With 193 debriefing sessions conducted across three departments, 483 positive points and 391 areas for improvement have been identified. This approach has notably led to concrete collaborative actions and the creation of dedicated working groups.
