The AWARDS are a highlight of HWL. As in 2024, the goal is to showcase innovative, ambitious, and promising projects that contribute to improving the healthcare sector as a whole. Four categories are proposed:

Start-up Award Europe

MPC Therapeutics – MitoStemX: An innovative approach in cell therapy 

MPC Therapeutics is developing MitoStemX, a solution that harnesses the potential of mitochondrial stem cells to address complex needs in regenerative medicine. 
This project exemplifies advances in biomedical research and earned MPC Therapeutics the Start-up Award Europe 2025, recognizing its commitment to new therapeutic approaches.


Medical Innovation Award

IEE International Electronics & Engineering S.A. – Prostheses with sensory feedback

IEE International Electronics & Engineering S.A. has developed a sensory feedback system for prostheses, allowing users to regain certain sensations and improve their comfort. This project opens up new perspectives for the mobility and quality of life of amputees.
The company receives the Medical Innovation Award 2025, recognizing its technological approach applied to the medical sector.


Start-up Award Luxembourg 

eSklepios – Digital Health: Improving the Patient Journey 

eSklepios designs digital solutions aimed at optimizing care management and patient support. By integrating digital tools into the healthcare journey, the project helps strengthen the responsiveness and quality of services. 
This initiative is recognized by the Start-up Award Luxembourg 2025 for its role in the evolution of medical practices.

Managerial Innovation Award

Liège University Hospital Center – Hospital Management and Quality of Care 

The Liège University Hospital Center has implemented a management project aimed at optimizing internal organization while improving the quality of care. 
This strategic initiative has been awarded the Managerial Innovation Award 2025 for its impact on hospital management and patient experience.
