Biography
Dr Lilani Abeywickrama, MBBS, joined Deloitte in 2022 as Senior Manager. She read and practiced medicine as an ophthalmic surgeon in the UK for over a decade in Imperial NHS Trust West London, afterwhich she transitioned into the domain of healthcare by working for medical e-health startups in both London and Geneva. She furthered her business acumen by coupling the knowledge she holds from the medical profession and LSE with a master from the University of Bocconi to then become strategic lead for medical affairs EMEA for Johnson & Johnson. Pivoting into an industry role has enabled her to further develop her expertise within management and healthcare services, as well as medical technology and life sciences.
