Biographie
Dr Garcia-Cañadilla is a senior data scientist and Ramon y Cajal fellow at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu with more than 15 years of experience in the field of fetal and pediatric cardiovascular field. Before joining HSJD, she was a postdoctoral researcher at IDIBAPS (Hospital Clinic Barcelona) and at the Institute of Cardiovascular Science in the University College London (UK). She received her PhD in Information and Communication Technologies by Universitat Pompeu Fabra in July 2015. She received a MSc degree in Biomedicine from the Universitat de Barcelona (Spain) in 2011 and a BSc degree in Telecommunication Engineering by the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain) in 2010. Her current research focuses on the development of machine learning algorithms for improving clinical decision-making and risk stratification o within different pediatric applications as well as computational models of the fetal/neonatal cardiovascular system. She has published +100 papers including peer-reviewed journal publications and international conferences abstracts, both in clinical and technical journals/conferences.
