Biography
Robert Kanz is Deputy Director of the École Nationale de Santé du Luxembourg, where he has been teaching mathematics, statistics, physics, and image processing since 2014. He holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the Université de Technologie de Compiègne (France), along with an engineering degree in biomedical engineering and a postdoctoral Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches. He also completed the Applied Data Science Program at MIT.
Throughout his career, Robert Kanz has combined academic leadership with strategic roles in healthcare and industry. He served as Director of the Centre de Recherche Public – Santé (now LIH) and later as Group Health Director at ArcelorMittal, where he was responsible for global health policy development and audit missions across Europe, Asia, and Africa.
Earlier in his career, he held various leadership and research positions at the Institut Supérieur de Technologie (now Uni.lu) and CRP Henri Tudor (now LIST).
In addition to his professional roles, Robert Kanz is co-founder of Patientevertriedung and Stemm vun der Strooss, reflecting his longstanding commitment to social justice and patient advocacy in Luxembourg.
