Presentation Summary
Medical innovation is advancing at a dizzying pace: artificial intelligence, personalized medicine, connected devices, remote monitoring… These breakthroughs are profoundly transforming healthcare practices, but they also raise major legal challenges.
In this talk, we will explore the tensions between the speed of innovation and the slowness — sometimes necessary — of the law. Through three concrete examples (liability related to medical AI, cybersecurity of health data, and informed consent in the digital age), we will see how the law attempts to adapt without stifling technological momentum.
Far from being an obstacle, legal professionals can become key players in responsible innovation, translating technical issues into understandable norms and anticipating risks.
